Cloudy Bay, founded in 1985, is one of the five wineries first established in Marlborough. Since its inception, the winery has received people’s much attention and praise, and quickly became a globally recognized producer of standard white wine.
The winery is located in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough at the northern end of New Zealand's South Island, which has a cool climate, a high humidity and clay -based soil, meanwhile it is also the wine region with longest sunshine hours in New Zealand. Sauvignon Blanc of Cloudy Bay is very popular at home and abroad . The grapes used for the wine are harvested by machines , the grape juice will be kept for 48 hours, and then it will ferment in stainless steel vats and be in contact with the yeast residue for two months , and finally be put into bottles. This wine has rich fruit aromas, including mangoes and oranges, and tastes fresh. In addition to the most famous Sauvignon Blanc , the winery is actuallyproducing a lot of other wines, such as Chardonnay , Riesling , Pinot Gris , Gewurztraminer , Pinot Noir and so on. |
